Indian Women Hockey Team: A Potential Gold Winning Squad In Upcoming Common Wealth Games
Hello Readers,
Today in this blog we will be talking about Indian Women Hockey Team and their journey from being wannabes to a potential gold winning squad.
Looking forward for the Common Wealth Games, which will be held on Gold Cost,Queensland, Australia Next Month (i.e. from 4th April to 15th April 2018).
Harendra Singh with a "Stickler For Rules " attitude landed in Bengaluru as a Coach, started his training accompanying a team of thirty to compete in upcoming Common Wealth Games.
Indian Women Hockey Team is so actively dedicated to the game that if the practice has to start at 08:00 Am in the morning the team is present in the field 5 minutes before the actual commencing time and if the practice ends at 10:00 the girls hang around for more 10 minutes discussion about the practice session-"Coach Admitted Proudly".
#An Unforgettable Experience :
This was the time when they played at Rio Olympics, qualifying for the quadrennial event for the first time ever (the previous was an Invitational appearance in 1980).Though their is always a great hope but shockingly women finished at the last place.
#A Lesson Well Learned :
During their Europe tour the Team performed reasonably well against Belgian's Men's Team, But the real Turning Point came when they won their Maiden Gold in the Asian Champions Trophy which took place three months after the Rio.
Even though Rio wasn't that great, Asian Champions Trophy Ignited a spark of Confidence in us -"Captain (Rani Rampal)Admitted".
#Pushing Beyond Limits:
Mr. Singh Relentlessly pushing women to their brim while practise, Women often get grilled even if their is a small sign of indiscipline.
Rani says-"The pace at which Hockey is played today their is no scope for mistake, Even a small Mistake can get you one step closer of losing'.
All this Progress, topped up with Asia Cup, where India defeated one of the best teams in the world of Hockey gave them spotlight and first time in the history women has received such a boom of appreciation which has filled the team with immense pleasure and confidence that every one is looking forward for the Game.
Hence looking forward for the upcoming Common Wealth Games, All the Best to the Indian Women Hockey Team.
