Nowadays, Women empowerment has been a topic of discussion in the field of  Development and Economics, and past few years their has been a significant growth in number of women actively participating in building strong Economies and living their life on their own terms.


In India Women Empowerment is still a critical aspect though there are some women who outperformed in the field of Economics and succeeded in building their own Empires.

hence, The Climate in India is Just  Perfect for Women Entrepreneurs in India and prove the statement "Bhartiya Nari Sabpe Bhari"  

In this blog we will be reading about one such successful lady, who is the founder of one of the most famous brand in the world of Beauty products 

Founded by Falguni Nayar in 2012, Falguni Nayar created an Indian Multi-Brand Retailer store in both online as well as offline market , when founded in April 2012 they began with a online E-Commerce website "nykaa.com" , ans soon started their first physical retail store at Indira Gandhi International Airport in November 2015.

Initially,hosting brands like Lakme, L'Oreal Paris, kaya skin clinic etc  on the website,in 2015 they also started their own beauty line-up.

Though hosting foreign brands NYKAA only raised "Domestic Funds"

#About The Team
She now works with her team of two who are also the key persons of the venture, 
first is her daughter, Adwaita Nayar student of Harvard Business School, working as a Chief Operating Officer of Retail stores.
and second is Reena Chhabra, who is also an  Ex-employee of well known brands like Lakme and kaya Skin Clinic and has successfully spent more than 20 years in the Beauty Industry in India.

#Success So Far
Financial year 2017 was supposedly the best year for NYKAA as the it has experienced a exponential growth of around 360%  with gross merchandise value surging up-to Rs.275 Crores.  Both Make-up and skincare brands had an awesome year in India.

Hence, we all must be proud that women like Falguni Nayar are trying their level best to represent Indian products and services at a Global Level.
