Does Your Soap Contain Any Of These Harmful Chemicals? Just Have a Look.

Hello Readers,
Today in this article we will be discussing about the harmful ingredients a SOAP may contain, and we will be answering few question which i encountered during my research.

So, lets begin.

As we all know that Soap is the integral part of our bathing routine, and we are unknowingly damaging our body on regular basis,and more shockingly the soaps we've been trusting from childhood are the most harmful,   hence for the ease of understanding i have categorised Soaps in Four main categories :
#Worst Of All                #Neutral                 #One Of Its Kind                #Best Of All

Lets first talk about the i.e. #Worst of All:
Soaps under these categories are the ones which are having the maximum number of harmful chemicals in them like Artificial colours, Artificial Fragrances , Detergents Etc.
Few of the most common and most harmful chemicals used in our soaps are;
1. Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (One of the strong Detergents)
2. Propylene Glycol (Harmful Alcohol)
3. BHT(Harmful Petroleum Product)
4. PEG-7 Amodimethicone (Harmful Pesticide)

*If your Soap contains any of these chemicals then i recommend you should consider it changing as soon as you can

Some of the soaps that fall under these category are ;
Dettol, Fiama Devils, Pears, Park Avenue ,Vivel , Lux , Lifebuoy contain almost about 10 Harmful chemicals and if you are using any of these you should replace them as soon as you can.

So now the question arises,
Q) If these chemicals are so harmful for our body then why are these been sold so freely?
A) Since this industry is highly unregulated industry hence there are no restrictions regarding the use of chemicals and since these chemicals come so cheap which in turn makes the soap fancy and attractive to buy, hence my suggestion would be avoid fancy soaps as much as you can and try focusing on the ingredients, the longer the list of chemical ingredient is the harmful is the soap.

Now comes our second category i.e. #Neutral;
soaps falling under these category are the soaps which can be considered as better than others as they contain only few chemicals mainly cosmetic colours and artificial fragrances,(But are still harmful)

Some of the soaps that fall under these category are ;
Santoor, Medimix, Chandrika, Mysore Sandal Soap, Himalaya and Margo.

So now the question arises,
Q) Since these contain few chemicals then one should continue using these soaps ?
A) Not every chemical present in the soap are harmful hence, till the time you do not gain access to the best soap in the market these can be preffered.

Now comes our third category i.e. #One Of Its Kind
Soaps under these category are the ones which are marketed as non-cosmetic therapeutic products like Lever Ayush and Biotique, these brands have not even mentioned complete list of their ingredients rather they have keep the ingredients disclosed under the umbrella of Soap base(which can be made out of any chemicals they want)

So now the question arises,
Q) Are these soaps good or bad ?
A) we cannot surely say that these soaps are good or bad as we do not have access to the complete list of ingredients, though i tried reaching out to the company for the purpose using the help of officials bu ti dint receive any satisfactory answer.

Now comes the most awaited category #Best Of All;
According to me only one soap falls under this category i.e. Patanjali's Multani-Mitti soap.
as it contains no harmful chemicals , no artificial fragrances and no cosmetic colours,
Although some other soaps from Patanjali like Patanjali's Lemon-Honey Kanti & Neem Kanti do contain few harmful chemicals and artificial fragrances.

So, according to me  Patanjali's Multani-Mitti soap is the best soap available in the Indian market.

This was it from my side for the soaps available in India which are very much famous in India , Do let me know how was the article , share your opinions with me in the comment section below, Subscribe for more such informative articles.
