Even His Disability Could Not Stop This Indian Entrepreneur From Achieving His Dream

In this blog we will be talking about one of the inspiring personalities of India, who not only fought his disability but also became an inspiration for others.

One such personality is 

''SRIKANT BOLLA''

#Childhood

Being blind by birth was a curse for him in itself but it was made more worse for him and his parents by their friends and family.

People use to say that a blind child is ''USELESS'', some of his neighbours also suggested to ''SMOTHER'' him as it would be a better option than undergoing a lifetime pain while upbringing such child 

But he was probably the luckiest guy as his parents overshadowed to the advice of the people and decided to take care of their son. 

#Schooling

Though the nearest school in the village, from his house was Five Kilometres, he used to make it  though foot. 

But no one used to acknowledge him , he was put in the last bench, also he was not allowed to attend PT lectures in the school. 

Soon he started feeling that he was the poorest man on the Earth not because he was poor by Money 

but by the loneliness he had to suffer. 

After realisation of this situation his Father admitted him to the Special Needs School in Hyderabad 

where he thrived out of compassion and started learning chess and other games like cricket, he not only learned such games but also excelled in sports as well as in academic front. 

Soon, he cleared Andhra Pradesh Class X Exam with around 90% , but again because of his disability he was not allowed to take Science as a subject for continuing class XI studies rather he was forced to opt ARTS for class XI studies. 

Then, he sued the government and fought for over six months and won the case but he was told by the Government that he will be opting for the subjects on this ''own risk''.

Thus, to prove Government wrong he did whatever he can like converting his textbooks into audio-books etc and cleared the Class XII exam with Whooping 98%.   

#Fortune Always Comes To The Hardworking.

Soon. after achieving tremendous success he aspired for Engineering and applied in well-known Engineering colleges like IIT's , BITSPilani and other top Engineering colleges, but didn't receive any Hall Ticket rather received a letter saying that ''you are blind  and you are not allowed to appear for the competitive exams '' . 

but this thing didn't stop him , he then applied for world's best Engineering Colleges like MIT, STANFORD, BERKELEY and many more.....

After getting selected in MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology ) he became the First International Blind Student.

#Ultimate Goal 

After getting graduated from MIT the main question arises in front of him was "What Next?''

 He always aspired that he wanted to do something for the disabled, so he designed his own curriculum and started a 10 week computer classes , soon with additional grants he rented a building , appointed a faculty and now his centre trains around 50 students per year. 

Soon, another question arises in front of him was about the employment of such students.

''Angel'' Investor Mr. RAVI MANTHA , who not only invested in the business idea of SRIKANT BOLLA but also mentored him throughout his journey.

Today SRIKANT is running a 50 crore company, employing over 150 differently-abled peoples and  is having Four Production Plants manufacturing Eco-Friendly Consumer Disposable Packaging Solutions.
